Fran Anderson’s career has been devoted to helping individuals maintain the highest degree of independence possible and avoid hospitalization and/or institutionalization. She has over 20 years of experience in managing community based health and human services programs that provide person centered, holistic services that addressed a full range of psychosocial and treatment issues for a broad array of at risk persons and seniors. Currently Fran is the Director of The Center for Aging, with Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia, servicing Hampton Roads 130,000+ seniors located in over 2,000 miles. She is responsible for overseeing a full range of community services that support older adults and enhance their ability to live independently. She has developed partnerships with several regional hospitals and universities on a number of pilot and ongoing programs using evidenced based models of care. She is seeking to expand the agency’s collaboration with additional hospitals, home health providers, private practices, and nursing facilities.
Fran holds a Masters Degree in Management with a concentration in Human Resources and a Bachelors Degree in Human Services. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources Management and has completed the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging Leadership Institute.
