Metro Health Hospital is a 238 bed community based teaching hospital in Wyoming MI, which is a suburb of Grand Rapids, MI. I started at Metro Health Hospital in April of 1998 as a nursing supervisor and over the last 16 years I have worked in a number of different positions throughout the organization. Over the years I have worked as a staff nurse, project coordinator, nursing recruiter and clinical coordinator. Presently I am a quality coordinator for the hospital with an emphasis on transitions of care. I graduated with a 3 year diploma in nursing in April of 1984 and completed my bachelor’s degree in nursing in May 2007. Mostly recently I completed my certification in quality management and I am a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality. I am a mother of 2 wonderful children, a son who is 14 and plays every sport possible. And a 20 year old daughter who is a sophomore at Grand Valley State University.
